I AM TIRED

On my Facebook page the other day, a guy named Clint posted a picture of himself in overalls, sitting on the back of a truck, with the title: I AM TIRED. “It is time for me to vent,” he said. “Please allow me to share my thoughts with you!” Then he wrote an itemized screed about how tired he was of blah, blah, liberals, blah blah. The platform took his post down and blocked it, but I responded to every one of his items.
For the record, here is Clint’s post (unedited):
I AM TIRED and It is time for me to vent, please allow me to share my thoughts with you!
I’ve worked hard all my life, most times I put in 60–80+ hours a week, sometimes holding down three jobs. I sacrificed being away from my family for days, and sometimes weeks at a time, to provide for them! I made a reasonable salary, but I didn’t inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. I juggled being a father, a husband, a grandfather, a teacher, a bus driver, a business owner, a community servant, an elected official, a friend, and an employee. It wasn’t always easy. I’m no saint, but I DID IT, and I made sacrifices to do it. Sometimes I missed my wife’s, children’s, and grandchildren’s birthdays, school functions, or being able to spend holidays with them!
I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic, sometimes to people that have sacrificed nothing.
I’m tired of being told that the government will take the money that I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people that are too lazy to work!
I’m tired of being told that I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which I am not allowed to debate.
I’m tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers, and politicians of all parties, talk like their opinions really matter to the common person.
I’m tired of any of these people even pretending that they can relate to my life and circumstances!
I’m tired of people with a sense of entitlement, whether they are rich, OR poor. I’m upset that I’m labeled as a racist because I am proud of law enforcement and believe in border security!
